Art: New Looks (Harry, G, lineart) & Nobleman's Pursuits (Severus/animagus!Harry, G, lineart)

Title: New Looks
Artist: [livejournal.com profile] jateshi
Character: Harry Potter
Rating: G
Status: Lineart (and also pending costume revisions for more "realistic" design)
Warnings: Not a movie-canon Hogwarts uniform...?
Comments: It's probably become apparent recently that I am thoroughly enjoying the times I play around with costume design. After a night of talking with [livejournal.com profile] theartema and ranting about movie-verse costuming and how so many people adhere to it like the second coming, and also spurred by many nudges from her and copious comments flattering my ego, I got to working. I had originally planned to not "unveil" this until I had finished working on the feminine version of the uniform but I'm impatient, what can I say?

Dedicated to [livejournal.com profile] alittlewhisper because when I told her that I was working on a new uniform design for my fanarts, she told me I should make sure I drew Harry for it. Since, as she pointed out, it's been about a YEAR since I last drew the Boy Who Lived. '>>

Title: Nobleman's Pursuits
Artist: [livejournal.com profile] jateshi
Characters: Severus Snape, animagus!Harry Potter
Rating: G
Status: Lineart
Warnings: Completely period-styled nobleman's clothing (14th-16th century, and the stilettos also fit perfectly into that time frame of design) and Harry Potter in an unusual animagus form - a merlin.
Comments: I can blame [livejournal.com profile] theartema for this one as well, you know. Some time between 11PM and midnight, she and I started talking about designing new clothing, and it also took off onto things that somehow ended up reminding us both of an old conversation we'd had. More than a year ago, after debate and talking, she and I had decided that Harry would potentially have a small raptor for his animagus and after talking species over, we agreed on the merlin. (NB: I drew the merlin a tad bit wrong for this - next time I'll have his head feathers properly flattened along his skull, as they should've been this time!)

It somehow wound up with me wondering (and telling her, which always results in art of the oddest sort) if Severus would know how to hawk and what they two would look like together. In about twenty four hours, I had this to show for the idea - the result of a few hours of research and careful creation. :3 And I really love this piece.

--> I'm still selling artwork! Artwork for sale! Lots of nifty artwork, all of which could be yours if you wanted to give it a new home? Also, maybe a little bit of cross-posting later on.
