Quick Note

[livejournal.com profile] siriusjazz, we might not want to even think about AA. Apparently, Otakon is FORBIDDING the sale of fan-art and doujin this year.

I've emailed for WHY but if it's true, it makes the entire con a not-quite-so-wanted experience.

Edit: Or as one person pointed out, it *appears* to be a coding error. Either way, I emailed them regarding it for clarification.

DAMN THEM AND THEIR CRAPPY CODING!

We're in the clear.

5. Items that MAY be sold at Otakon 2005 include: (NOTE: this is not a complete list; surprise us!)
6. Garage Kits/Figurines
7. Dojinshi/Fanzines
8. Fan Art

9. Any and all genuine imported Japanese merchandise. This includes toys, CDs, LDs, posters, art books, manga, and anything else you can come up with. Even if an American company is selling a translated version.
10. Any and all legitimate American-produced merchandise.

Important Note: Artists Alley is not a replacement for the Dealers Room. Items sold in Artists Alley should be commissions and works of art (drawings, models, etc.) and/or dojinshi/comics. Tables are available in the Dealers Room for those who wish to sell other items such as videotapes.

Since they're unclear on coding though, I'm still going to wait for offcial word
