Days Go By
Nov. 25th, 2004 06:13 pmI see so many people doing those "I am thankful for..." things, which frankly marks you as fairly American. I suppose, in honor of the fact that I am still stuck on that soil I should do one too. Consider it my own sort of friend worship, though not everyone is on LJ. ^^
( What I'm thankful for )
I bet I missed people there, but it's the best I can do at the moment. Turkey day - should be filled with good food, good company, and much relaxation. Wasn't really good food (we went to someone else's for dinner, thus making me feel the fool for refusing offers to be with friends, as I said it was Family Day) but the company wasn't bad. It just was dry turkey, runny mashed potatoes, stuffing with other things added, and the worst assortment of sparkling non-alcoholic things. Found a bottle of sparkling cider only after I had some ghastly apple-grape crap. Ghastly stuff. Would rather drink moonshine straight-up then have it again, and moonshine isn't pleasant straight.
I want our turkey, and our food. And bloody hell, but they were watching football. I got a little thing done for Ali though, and something for Kait sketched and inked, so I put the waste of time to good use. But the meal itself was unpleasant because...oh merlin, it just was.
Hopefully I'll have Christmas cards mailed out by next week. I've got them mostly addressed, I just need to find a few more people and get info from them, and then I can send them out. All my international buddies - if I have your address, you're getting a card. Whether you think you are or not. :D
