jateshi: (Hogwarts Crest black BG)
I think it's time to face up to a few things...

1. As much as I love Pond, I think it's safe to say that my place on the list of 'people owed stuff' is so far down that I might as well forget I ever got promised stuff. Multiple times. It hurts, because I feel like I am getting tossed aside, but I suppose that it's just time to forget it all.

2. I don't belong to 'just' one fandom. I love all sorts of things obsessively at the moment, Harry Potter lower on the list than it used to be because of how one particular person abused my trust in that fandom. I'm working on getting past how much that's made me fandomly crawl into a shell, but it's the reason I had a sudden drop-off of any sort of HP fandom participation.

3. I don't stick with one thing, I change depending on the mood. I love to draw and write, but doing one excludes the other for a period of time. I'm in a drawing mood at the moment, as writing papers for school kinda drains the writing out of my soul. It'll flip around again later, and then there might be stories.

4. What I do in fandom is done, primarily, because I want to do it. I love people and their ideas, but when I do something, it starts because the idea grabs me by the nose. I want to pay tribute to my favourite pairings again, and I am going to do it however I want to, be it art, drabble, or song that I will swear I sung for them.

5. I draw in the style of anime/manga. Some people I adore from a distance say (publiclly) that anime art is less than 'real' art. Well, fuck you - if Pollock can toss a can of paint on canvas and call it art, my stylized scribblings in the anime style are art as well. :3 I know I need to be more accepting of my own art, and people saying that anime or manga isn't even art doesn't help the process. Stick figures are art, so is anime.

6. I am shit about replying to comments. :3 I really am.

7. What I do, I need to remember to do for myself. Pleasing others is the quickest way to drive myself away from any fandom, no matter how much I love the show, series, or book it's based off of.

Let's call this a new start, folks. I have art to post tomorrow or later this week, and a hell of a lot I want to get done and see. I hear there's a new Doctor Who out there (yay!), and a whole lot of other stuff I want to catch up with. (people too, but that can wait for later)
