Illustrator classes

jateshiAfter reviewing the material I, Jate, will be teaching in less than an hour, I have to say this.
Illustrator is NOT something that can be taught minus-a-book. Photoshop, yes - it's fairly easy. But when there are fifty pages for me, the instructor to cover, and this lesson has measurements and all sorts of shit they need to use, and they are already known to be dumb stupid people who can't follow directions issued verbally, it's bad.
If I have any sanity left aftyer doing this, give me a cookie. I'll head home, do my rush graphics job, and then mourn for my abandoned sanity.
I weep for tomorrow, already. For one, my assistant then will be my boss for *this* job. For another, I can't think of a way to walk the class through the lessons without killing them. I can already predict a very, very, very complicated and arduous day.
If I can get through these two days and stick this out, I'll get a fecking teaching certificate and look for a future as a beginner's instructor.
