DA went down the tubes and oh look, an entry!

o0 Wow, you take a break from the net and find yourself stuck in a whole lot of stuff you never knew about. If anyone wants to offer to kindly catch me up on life, the universe, and everything else that I've missed, I'd appreciate it. Also, if anyone knows what the *hell* happened on DA, I'd -really- love to know what the fuck went down there. I sign on and find out that Jark and a few other admins have resigned from the site they founded and (obviously) they can't go out and give us details because of legal reasons but what the HELL?!

*sobs* I miss Sirius! (Before anyone goes "HUH?!" to me, I named my laptop Sirius. << The scanner's Pince, and all related computer stuff is named after Harry Potter characters and my car's named for Bellatrix and yes, I know I'm nuts) On the other hand, I'm working my little tail off to get ready for Otakon so I'm making prints, a lot of new artwork, making even more new artwork, and then again even MORE new artwork. Anyone have any suggestions on pricing for prints at Otakon and how many I should do of each? And this time, I'm not leaving my hentai artwork at home. ;) I did last time and it cost me.

...yep, I'm still the master of rambling. :D I'll try to check back more often than I have the past week, ganbatte ne, minna! (Yes, I'm returning to my anime-centric roots in prep for Otakon, or at least more heavily living in them)

Apparantly Jark was involuntarily kicked out of the administration because of Spyed.. or something... BookDiva (Jark's mom) has most of the info... o.o; But DA's seriously gonna wind up like hell if things aren't fixed... With Jark not in his spot as part of DevArt administration (or whatever)... well... People are throwing fits... o.o; And several of the other administrator's have resigned because he was involuntarily removed from his position...

It's crazy... o.o;

Oh! And have fun with Otakon! ^____^ Wish I could be there... Hey, maybe sometime in the next few years... =^.^=

Otakon would be very fun... ^__^ I might be able to convince my cosplay group into going one of these years... Next year is AX and NDK... so the year after that maybe.... I know we were trying for a Chicago convention sometime... o.o;

Meh, I'll discuss it with my cosplay group and see what we can do. ^__^ You'll have to come out to NDK one of these years, Jateshi! ^.^ We're a smaller convention: but we're hella fun! xD

Jark was basically fired without explanation, and a few other staffers resigned in protest. Jark wrote about it in his journal (link is his mirror of the entry), and there have been a number of ideas thrown one, some of which include stop posting new art and comments, communicate through Notes, and try to bring DA to a halt by August 7th (after which it is all right to post art again), simply not post anything on August 7th, or to submit only yellow things on August 7th in support of Jark. People are upset because Jark was overthrown without any explanation, and Jark himself thinks that the community is becoming less of a community and more of a corporation. well to catch you up,
First of all; Artema, myself, Wind-sama and Miyuka all went travellin to some third world country and got soooooo drunk we all like, totally puu'd on ourselves and ran around naked and then we secretly ran the country for 14 months. And then we san the safety dance the whole way home on our million dollar jets while eating bananas sudectively. :3
