Happy belated birthday to [livejournal.com profile] ponderosa121. :D Happy...birthday...thing!

I never got around to scanning in the card designs before I skipped off (alright, I didn't really skip off, either, more like *drove* off and sped and had fun) but I have just sat down and done so now. And yes... so, one card design is under the cut. 'Member, this is a prod that if there's something specific on your card you'd like to see, then say so with this as an inspiring prod! Otherwise, I might...just...sheep! YES! I might draw you holiday SHEEP. Shagging holiday sheep! JUST WATCH ME!

The Snupins one, since it's actually a really nice picture, is going in a not-only-card-post. :D Yes, I am insane.

Generic winter design, possibly more guy-liked

Wonderful lineart! I never manage to make my lines so clean. How do you do it? ^^

^^ Thanks so much!

As to how I get my linearts so clean? Photoshop fiddling perfected by years. First scan at a high resolution, then bump the contrast and brightness up until it doesn't pixelate but it also is as crisp and pure black as possible. Next make a second layer, clear it of everything, then take the layer with the image, go to channels and click the dotted circle and then clear everything. Select inverse and then use the brush to paint everything solid black. Now you've got a really nice set of lines for CGing, once you hand clean up any other problems, as well as once you flatten, a really nice, clean set of black and white lines. :3

@.@ My god! That's a whole process! I just scan and... that's all. I just scan. I'll try your way next time! ^^

^^ I know, it's a bit of a extra-step thing that you do. I stopped simply scanning when I didn't like having to redraw every last line because otherwise it just wasn't clean enough. e.e So I got tips and put together this little thing.

:D Tell me if it works out for you when you try it!
