Sketch dump

I don't think I'm going to be able to get anything inked or finished today (hello jittering eye, hello no-markers-on-hand *sobs*) so instead, I am doing a little sketch dump.

Mainly because I went "Dude, I have all these things in stages of completion and no one knows" and then cackled. And then realized that I have more than twice this many sketches but I didn't want to scan any more so yes, you'll just get to see these ones.

Hidden by the lj-cut: (1) Jateshi Jigoku, (1) Jate, (1) Draco/Harry [related to a fic I'm writing], (1) Padma Patil

Character: Jateshi (my on-line self)

Character: Jate (my real-ish self)

Characters: Draco (partially finished) and Harry

Character: Padma Patil

I'm working on a piece with both Patil twins, also. Clothing research is lots of fun. And for those with sharp eyes (or dark monitors) you'll go "Hey, no watermarks!" and I'll go "Hey! Shitty pictures!" and it all works out. *snickers* Who's going to want to steal crappily-scanned and drawn art, hrm?

Edit: *grumps* Someone's done a shitty job of an LJ cut somewhere on my flist (I have a suspicion of who...) and it's irking me. *gives hairy eyeballs to people who do bad jobs writing LJ cuts*

:D Cute Padma. <3

[identity profile] jateshi.livejournal.com 2006-04-05 08:41 pm (UTC)(link)
*snurgs* You have no idea how happy that makes me. :3

[identity profile] inglenook.livejournal.com 2006-04-05 08:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Tis true!
And I'm very particular about my Patils, as you well know. ♥

[identity profile] jateshi.livejournal.com 2006-04-05 08:44 pm (UTC)(link)
*snurgeths* Thank you so much, dear!

^^ And I know you're particular about your Patils - which is why I am so happy. My plans for the pictures will be more likely to meet with approval, now!

I love her swishies which of course are all-important for bondage!!!

[identity profile] jateshi.livejournal.com 2006-04-05 08:49 pm (UTC)(link)
They're so much fun to draw, too! Which is a relief, because I have this feeling that inking and colouring all of the gilded details I want to put on the fabric is going to be a pain.

*SNORTS!!!*

[identity profile] inglenook.livejournal.com 2006-04-05 08:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, that all sounds absolutely heavenly! I can appreciate that details in sari fabric would be the very devil to draw. I ♥ my mirrorwork and goldsewn sari lengths.

~halo~

[identity profile] jateshi.livejournal.com 2006-04-05 08:54 pm (UTC)(link)
If I CG the colours for this one (and I think I will) I have a plan I have a clever plan, m'lord! on how to do it. If I do all of the inking and colouring by hand, it's going to involve me playing with marker resists and waxes. *_* But no matter what, it *will* be gorgeous. (After all, I decided that if I'm going to make Padma proper Yule robes, I needed to know different styles, first...)

The horns are poking out, m'dear.

[identity profile] inglenook.livejournal.com 2006-04-05 08:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Ohhhhhh! You are righting Mr "I Just LOVE Pink" Newell's wrongs!

~hellalottaloff~

Oopsie. I think I need to backcomb?

[identity profile] jateshi.livejournal.com 2006-04-05 08:59 pm (UTC)(link)
*pets* I started doing your painting and then went "oh shit, I really don't understand the garb..." and decided that needed to be rectified. (especially because it is so gorgeous) Immediately.

*basks and then glomps and snuggles*

Or if you tip the halo a little bit forward, the glow will probably detract from the horns enough-

[identity profile] inglenook.livejournal.com 2006-04-05 09:02 pm (UTC)(link)
One of the best things about wizarding garb is that no one really knows what it looks like.

~snugglemento~ I really really appreciate that. ~sohappy~

~puts halo back on at rakish angle~

[identity profile] jateshi.livejournal.com 2006-04-05 09:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Which leaves so many things up to my imagination. :3

*snuggles back*

Oh! Rakish! *maidenly faint*

[identity profile] tirani.livejournal.com 2006-04-05 09:03 pm (UTC)(link)
MMMM... Wings.

I should get you to do one of me. *G*

[identity profile] jateshi.livejournal.com 2006-04-05 09:05 pm (UTC)(link)
I've got a thing for wings. *sheepish*

^^ All you have to do is ask, you know - I'd gladly draw anything for you.

[identity profile] tirani.livejournal.com 2006-04-05 09:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Then, do it. What do you see when you think of me.

Not the fucked up physical shell, but the real me. I'm curious.

[identity profile] jateshi.livejournal.com 2006-04-05 09:11 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll show you when it's done - which means I should be brining it with me this weekend.

[identity profile] tirani.livejournal.com 2006-04-05 09:13 pm (UTC)(link)
I didn't mean right this second, ashke, just when you have time.

[identity profile] jateshi.livejournal.com 2006-04-05 09:14 pm (UTC)(link)
*g* But I do have the time now - and also, a very clear idea. It's like writing - when the inspiration strikes, follow it.

[identity profile] jateshi.livejournal.com 2006-04-05 09:39 pm (UTC)(link)
And because this is something I have to address - never are you anything but the real you. No such thing as fucked-up shell, Tif, there's just you and you're not anything messed up at all.

[identity profile] tirani.livejournal.com 2006-04-05 10:02 pm (UTC)(link)
There is when what's in my head is radically different than what's on the outside. The outside is broken. What's in my head, less so these days.

[identity profile] jateshi.livejournal.com 2006-04-05 10:07 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't think anything's broken, either inside or out. I tend to just see people as a whole, cohesive entity (other people, not myself) so to me, there's nothing broken. Damage may exist, inside and out, but never broken.

A funny feeling that I am never going to be able to put this properly in to words creeps up.

Your 'Jate' self-portrait is very Rayearth-ish.
I loooove how you draw wings. You need to draw more wings on things! XD

[identity profile] jateshi.livejournal.com 2006-04-05 10:48 pm (UTC)(link)
CLAMP has always been my idol and aspiration - so your remark about being Rayearth-ish makes me squee like a fangirl of joyness. *happy grin*

XD I should put wings on more things? *slaps a pair of wings on your icon*

Cute Padma! :D I love your sketches... *^.^*
