Sketch dump

I don't think I'm going to be able to get anything inked or finished today (hello jittering eye, hello no-markers-on-hand *sobs*) so instead, I am doing a little sketch dump.

Mainly because I went "Dude, I have all these things in stages of completion and no one knows" and then cackled. And then realized that I have more than twice this many sketches but I didn't want to scan any more so yes, you'll just get to see these ones.

Hidden by the lj-cut: (1) Jateshi Jigoku, (1) Jate, (1) Draco/Harry [related to a fic I'm writing], (1) Padma Patil

Character: Jateshi (my on-line self)

Character: Jate (my real-ish self)

Characters: Draco (partially finished) and Harry

Character: Padma Patil

I'm working on a piece with both Patil twins, also. Clothing research is lots of fun. And for those with sharp eyes (or dark monitors) you'll go "Hey, no watermarks!" and I'll go "Hey! Shitty pictures!" and it all works out. *snickers* Who's going to want to steal crappily-scanned and drawn art, hrm?

Edit: *grumps* Someone's done a shitty job of an LJ cut somewhere on my flist (I have a suspicion of who...) and it's irking me. *gives hairy eyeballs to people who do bad jobs writing LJ cuts*

They're so much fun to draw, too! Which is a relief, because I have this feeling that inking and colouring all of the gilded details I want to put on the fabric is going to be a pain.

*SNORTS!!!*

Oh, that all sounds absolutely heavenly! I can appreciate that details in sari fabric would be the very devil to draw. I ♥ my mirrorwork and goldsewn sari lengths.

If I CG the colours for this one (and I think I will) I have a plan I have a clever plan, m'lord! on how to do it. If I do all of the inking and colouring by hand, it's going to involve me playing with marker resists and waxes. *_* But no matter what, it *will* be gorgeous. (After all, I decided that if I'm going to make Padma proper Yule robes, I needed to know different styles, first...)

The horns are poking out, m'dear.

Ohhhhhh! You are righting Mr "I Just LOVE Pink" Newell's wrongs!

Oopsie. I think I need to backcomb?

*pets* I started doing your painting and then went "oh shit, I really don't understand the garb..." and decided that needed to be rectified. (especially because it is so gorgeous) Immediately.

*basks and then glomps and snuggles*

Or if you tip the halo a little bit forward, the glow will probably detract from the horns enough-

One of the best things about wizarding garb is that no one really knows what it looks like.

~snugglemento~ I really really appreciate that. ~sohappy~

~puts halo back on at rakish angle~

Which leaves so many things up to my imagination. :3

*snuggles back*

Oh! Rakish! *maidenly faint*
