Date: 2006-04-28 03:08 pm (UTC)XD Whoops! I never meant to leave his eyes silver-y! I was using that to back-build shadows and depths and forgot to go back with the other marker colours and darken it to proper-canon-blackish. ;) But I'll leave them like that for you, luv.
*snuggles* Thanks so much for the wonderful compliment!

Date: 2006-04-28 10:11 am (UTC)[2] Red ribbon, hm... reminds me of the whole red string of fate. Can I just say I'm jealous of how you can use markers again?
[3] Gah, the last one killed me- incredible shading- I feel like I could reach out and actually feel the circumference of the leg of his pants, they look so three dimensional and vivid. They look like they also have texture to them, like actual fabric.
Love them honey, great job!

Date: 2006-04-28 03:10 pm (UTC)^^ The red ribbon actually is related to that, in a sense - in Japanese culture, couples are tied together with red ribbon when they get married to symbolize that their fates are now one. Mangaka use it to show when a pairing is "destined" for each other. :3
*blushes* And so very honoured that you think so, about the last one!

Date: 2006-04-28 07:21 pm (UTC)Hm, I didn't know if the reference was intentional or not- but I've heard of it before. You know a lot about Japan, so I thought it might be, but I wasn't sure- it could be just a red ribbon I guess, which is why I brought it up. Hm, I've always heard it referenced as string that binds people together by fate rather than a ribbon (metaphysically)- it's rather frequent joke or plot line in anime/manga. I don't speak or read Japanese, so maybe it is a wide mistranslation or the word means two things. Like I said, I don't know.
And- hee, you know I adore your art.
