Title: Triumphant
Character: Severus Snape
Rating: G
Type: Anime - Harry Potter
Comments: I'd decided to give myself a little challenge, and also start trying to make my art just a hair bit more realistic in the portrayals of active events. In other words, I decided that when people were doing something physically stressful, they were going to sweat. The trick, you see, is how to make a shirt or piece of clothing appear to be sweatsoaked while still trying to keep the impression of the clothing's original colour. I know I need improvement, but I do think I've got a good start.
On his clothing - who knows, maybe I'll keep this design for future fencing images? X3 Hah, me keep a consistent design? Never! Well, I can at least try to, I suppose.

Date: 2006-08-29 10:26 pm (UTC)Okay, maybe not that much, but still, for the kind of fighting I always imagine Severus and Lucius doing (melee all over the location of the battle, using more than just their swords to fight with) it kinda works. XD Plus, a good excuse is that there's no way he or Lucius would *ever* fight in the coarse material modern jackets are made out of and I think silk and light-weave cotton show sweat faster and more readily than the dense canvas my jacket is honestly made out of.
...I think I overdid it even with all of my blustering excuses aside. XD I'll just have to do more sweat-soaked clothing studies. :D
