Soon there will be stuff! Like art.
Jan. 7th, 2007 07:16 pmAh, dear f-list, how much I miss thee when I forget to log-in.
The great battle with CyberLink PowerProducer is at a draw. CyberLink has admitted that they have no friggin' idea what the hell is wrong with their software, but since I got it with my laptop, they maintain that they are unable to help me further. The issue (very nicely worded) has been sent to Acer, my manufacturer, and I now await them giving me a new copy of the software. I don't think there's going to be any issue with them giving me a new copy, though it'll probably take a while to get.
In the meantime, I am abusing the family's Nero software. I finally have got it working, circumventing the normal method of encoding straight from AVI to DVD by two-stepping the process by encoding the AVIs as Nero Digital and from them making a DVD burn using the templates and settings I want. It works - but it takes a HELL of a lot longer. Where I could knock a DVD out in 30-45 minutes previously, I'm now having to take about 2 to 3 hours to get the same job done. Bugger it all, but at least I've got something working in the meantime. ^^ (
andsaca369, I'm finally going to be able to finish the discs for you, and I'm going to run a check on the ones I got done earlier to make sure none of them are having the problems of oddness that developed in the end. If any of them do, I'll be re-burning them. I'll keep you updated with odd notes via LJ, as it is amusing to think this is almost like a hidden decoder ring message.)
If I can get this current project burned without a problem, I'm going to take a break and reward myself by scanning some of the artwork I'd inked about three-zillion centuries ago but never got around to scanning. Such as a very pretty Snarry, and Lily in a 17th century gown, circa Louis XIV.
