Opinion on WoW Dragonflight/Drake point, go!

Which do you think is the most intelligent of the dragonflights/dragon types listed below (for RP/story purposes):

Netherwing
Proto Drake (specifically the green one - OMG I GOT MINE LAST NIGHT!!!!)
Red Dragonflight
Bronze Dragonflight

Reason: I am attempting to pick WHICH drake Arlu will consider her "companion" mount and, well, I *do* have 60+ mounts...

Then either the Bronze, which is the more intelligent but slightly evil sub-species. Or the Netherwing, which while intelligent, managed to get enslaved by Illidan.

- Companions can be male. Captain Jack Harkness and I think others.
- Chromie has Leia-hairbuns. But could still be a guy.

Chromie is not male or female. It's a gnome. They're almost as gender-neutral as dwarves.

To be honest, I've always found the Netherdrakes to be pretty intelligent. Especially given the whole storyline when you get your first one. (I believe there's a comment about how the drake you pick will be your companion for your adventures in Outland?) They have the ancestry of the black dragonflight and all the bad-ass of Netherspite without being a giant, Karazhan-dwelling dragon that opens random portals.

Truth be told, I've always felt that the proto-drakes were more primal, and therefore while they can be intelligent, it might not be on an easily understood level compared to other drakes.

All things considered, if you have 60+ mounts, I'd go with the Albino. ;D That's always been my favorite, when I'm not running around on my Silver Covenant Hippogryph.

I'd forgotten about that whole questline! You're right, *checks wiki* it does mention that they will be your companion for Outlands and beyond. Hrm... With an RP realm that might be the better option actually. Argh, that's a better reason for traveling together than a drake I rescued.

ok, I have no opinion, having not played the game in ages, but I had to comment...Heeee! Your icon! :D

I'll throw in my 0.02 - I always felt the Bronze Dragonflight and the storylines within WOW had them intelligent but sort of not as concerned with the now as the timeline in general - sort of disconnected if you will from reality. The Red Dragonflight is far more concerned with the living and nurturing good for say a healing class, but less so for a DPS or Tank class. Protodrakes I see as the dumb unevolved cousins of dragons.

Netherdrakes, which of your list would be my choice, are a new flight still seeking their purpose and place in the world. They're also imho the most attractive of the bunch.

As for what I'd do on my toon - well see I a twilight drake *grin* ....


PS: Congrats on the green protodrake! I've yet to acquire one despite months of egg cracking. I think I blew all my RNG luck winning the twilight drake roll.
