Art: Loyalties

Face impassive, a pale hand drew back the cowl. Strands of blonde hair fell free from the confine of the heavy, black robes, spilling around her face and down her shoulders, brushing her skin. Her grip slid down the smooth wood of the staff as she knelt, one hand removing and cupping the porcelain mask which blocked her identity. Her other arm was exposed with her actions, leaving the intertwined serpent and skull bare for all to see.
No sound louder than a whisper was made as she settled, her heavy garb spilling away and around on currents born of rushing air. Head bowed, eyes closed, she waited.
Drawing time: 45 minutes
Inking: 25 minutes
CGing: 6 hours
Notes: The compression to .jpg killed the textures on the robes...and ruined a lot of the much softer art I'd worked so hard on. A completely new approach to CGing for me, this took about two hours longer than my old style, uses 200Mb more active space on the HD when opened and working, and adds about ten layers. BUT, for all that, it's more than worth it.
I'll be formatting this for print, if anyone would like to buy one. Either through me, or DA. *pleads*
