Well, I've got a movie and book for you anyway!

Movie: Salton Sea. Val Kilmer shows that he's still got what it takes in this amazingly well done movie about drugs and revenge.

Book: The Count of Monte Cristo. For something written in 1847, it is still very readable today. As an author I think Alexander Dumas is a few bricks short of a full load, but his story is great, and very easy to read.
