Why do Mondays exist? To remind us that the rest of the week HAS to be better than this, right?

One, randomly, before I forget: I bet they thought of this one as a failed way of making people think about planting more green stuff: "Have you planted your seeds today?" (because the Ford in front of me had a "have you planted your tree today" sticker and I thought of that...

It's horridly bad of me but I've begun plotting out a campaign idea. Since I can't pick what SYSTEM I'd want to run it in this leads to two (or possibly 3 if I understand Shadowrun better) plots forming, all of them different. Realizing what levels of checks would need to be made in order to get certain knowledge makes me think of the modules we're playing right now and wonder how they determined all of that up. I'll get there eventually, once I start ironing out the worlds and settings, but right now it's degenerating into 2 different plots. And like I said if I learn Shadowrun better possibly 3. The CONCEPT of Shadowrun is what is intriguing so I'm almost thinking of picking a 5th mod book for cyberpunk and seeing how a d6 system does it. Or maybe a straight up d20 cyberpunk book for ideas... ACK BAD JATE BAD!

My art seems to have hit a brick. Not a slump, because that implies a desire to draw and an inability to do so, but a brick wall. At naught speeds. SLAM. WHAM. I had some odd dreams but I can't pick quite what is going on. (I forgot how freeing this is, just journaling, kind of a stream of consciousness but putting in spelling and grammar because while I know I can visualize in proper form I sure as hells don't think that way. Dear self, comma? Doesn't flow right. Great, now I'm doing that in my head. ACK!)

I think I'm going to grab a cider, pick up a book, and sit and unwind as much as possible. I'm on-call but I've already driven in to the office once tonight.

I need some new icons, a new theme, and a new feel for my LJ.

Okay, I watched Murder Princess last night. I started it, the first episode looked meh but I kept going. The second episode there were hints of building shoujo-ai so I went "More promising!"

...then I had all my hopes dashed in the third episode because it just started to suck *that* much. But by then I was nearly done with the show - so I kept going. If I'm gonna watch a disaster, I should watch it all the way through, right?

*shudders* More shoujo-ai hints from the two main characters, so I liked that but... GYAH it sucked!!!!

How evil are you?

Okay, I adore Dragon*Con - it's like how Otakon WAS before they got stuffy. Problems?

Running a fever, am sick, head hurts like a bitch, and my ankle is painful. But the cosplaying has been wonderful, Mark's costume came off with maybe two hitches (but nothing bad enough to make me not want to let him run around in it), and my bodice is a feat of engineering and a modern miracle.

One order of pizza is on the way up, I'm sleeping during the night (but apparently it's time to get myself an appointment with a sleep specialist because my sleep is not good, which explains why I'm so damned tired after a night's sleep), and con's been so much fun. SO much fun.

The only thing worse than a migraine is a migraine that takes two doses of migraine meds to get to a manageable level of pain.

Gyugh.

My work sucks.

Well, to be frank, my former work sucked. Past-tense.

Why?

Our department's gone. Kaput.

I have no job.

First they tell us our jobs are getting cut at midterms, now we're out of jobs just at graduation. I think they plan the timing this way...

Now to find a new job. Because, yanno, I have time to, what with having no job now.

Today, it seems, was testicular cancer awareness day. I know this because as I left calc class this morning I spied penis ballons, someone was telling me to remember to check my nuts (and if I didn't have a pair than I at least know someone who has a pair and to make sure they check their nuts) and a guy was explaining that it only takes about three minutes to check. Any longer, he said, was just playing with them.

Tomorrow I'm getting my military ID. Woot! Up at 6.30AM, not so woot.

Today?

The day's over. Mercifully over. The week's been shit and today was no exception.
